Has anyone else found that Vivarium's idea of what constitutes any given initial is very idiosyncratic? Searching for R at the moment, and finding B, C, O, S in addition to R. I'm sure I'll find more. I'm really not sure who they got to key these in...probably some minimum wage undergrad....

I don't think it's a problem so much with how the data is keyed in as it is with how the keyed in data is interpreted by whatever search query is generated and then run on the DB. For example, I searched for R, and one of the hits I clicked on had a B, not an R, but the description clearly says "Historiated initial B. King David playing harp. Crown. Lion.". So the problem doesn't seem to be in the interpretation of the initials, but rather in how the database is queried.
