I finally managed to finish one scroll I've been doing too long. The scan aint good one, but nor are the paints. Unfortunately the only gouache paint I found here, was not that good. And that was the 1st time I did a calligraphy.
Does anyone know any good Gouashe brand? BAck in UK I used paints made by Winsor something. I can not remember the name :( I only remember that they make more oilpaints.

I use Talens gouache (http://www.talens.com/); I've never used anything else so I don't have anything to compare it with, but I'm happy with it.
My qouache is by Talens too, and I don't like it at all :( Esp. the gold one is very poor comparing the earlier I used.
lovely scroll :)
I have used several gouache types and windsor and newton or Schminke are the two I prefer and out of those two I tend to use schminke more.
Schminke gold water colour and also their gouache is comparable to shell gold in fact when I use the two side by side ( shell and paint) you actually can't see a difference just your wallet does.
Price makes a difference in paints because it usually determines the quality of the pigments used.
Where are you now? Maybe you can do mail order.

I moved back to Finland while ago. I life in the 2nd biggest town and still I have found only one shop that sells gouache. And the paint was not really that good :(
I have been trying to find online store who delivers to Finland, but so far I have not had luck :(

No online ordering, but you can e-mail an order, w/ phone number, and they'll phone you for your credit card number.
I use Winsor & newton. Aim for 'designers' gouache, avoid 'student' versions. Worth the money, and you don't need much at a time.
Anyone have a clue about "LUKAS GOUACHE ART&DESIGN", Master Quality?
There's a Finnish webshop selling that stuff: http://www.articano.fi/products.php?g1=5c966c
Also, Amal, at least earlier Akateeminen bookshop sold Windsor and Newton, the Helsinki shop has a corner for art supplies and if your city has a Stockmann, they should be able to forward them to that shop. Or then I can go shopping for you!
More investigations:
Tempera in Helsinki has Talens, Schminke and Garan D'ache: http://www.tempera.fi/index_files/guassi.htm
Their representant in Turku (where I think you are) is Turun Väri Oy, http://www.turunvari.fi/taiteilijatarvikkeet.html , and while it doesn't normally carry Schminke, you can ask them to get that stuff from Tempera.
Or then you can send me a specified shopping list and I'll pop into Tempera one of these days and then I can mail the stuff to you. Should be flat enough to mail as a letter, so that's no big deal...
More googling resulted in an online store in the UK that has Windsor and Newton gouache and reasonable shipping prices for small 1 and 2 kg packages:
http://www.artsupplies.co.uk/cat-gouache-paint.htm and on delivery http://www.artsupplies.co.uk/info-shipping-policy.htm#.
Here's another one with shipping to most countries; again, under 2 kg is pretty cheap to get to Finland: http://www.artifolk.co.uk/catalog/gouache_paints.htm.
