Thanks, The panache was a bugger to do actually. It only looks simple believe me it wasn't. I fussed for days with the leaves and there must about 10 layers of paint on them. I suck at big acanthus leaves and shading is a technique I need SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more practice at. But I wanted to try one of these 'squashed bug' style scrolls.
Ele's scroll is based off the Grand Hours from Duck de Berry and it took months to do. I probably woudl think several times before attempting another one like this...
but as long as the recipents are happy I guess it is all worth it!
